Wedding Day Piper.
Pipers often play at weddings and not just in Scotland. Having a piper play at your wedding will add a touch of class to the proceedings.
So what exactly does a piper do at a wedding you may wonder.
Below is a list of the services i offer clients for their wedding day.

1) Pipe the Bride, the mother or father of the Bride and the Bridesmaids out of her residence as she leaves to go to the wedding venue.
2) Stand outside the wedding venue and play as the guests arrive.
3) Play at the venue to announce the arrival of the Bride.
4) Play the Bride into the wedding venue and up the aisle if the venue is a church.
5) Play the Bride, Groom and guests out of the wedding venue.
6) Play the Bride, Groom and guests into the Reception Venue.
7) Play the Bride and Groom to the top table.

Funeral Piper.
Pipers have long been associated with funerals. From Royal State Funerals to Military Funerals. I have played at many funerals over the years and have a lot of experience doing this. Having a piper play at a funeral is a fitting tribute to your loved one. It adds dignity to the proceedings. Here at Spirit of the Glen we pride ourselves in offering our clients a dignified professional service.

I can play the hearse away from the deceased persons home.
Pipe outside the funeral venue as the hearse arrives.
Play the mourners into the funeral venue.
Lead the hearse to the graveside.
Play as the coffin is being lowered into the grave.

New Year And Burns Evening Piper.
No New Years Eve celebrations would be complete without its piper.
I normally Play the guests into the venue then play a couple of twenty minute sets of tunes earlier in the evening before piping dead on midnight to bring in the new year with a bang.
For Burns Evening which is the celebration of the Scots Poet Robert Burns on the 25th of January. I will pipe the guests into the venue, then play two twenty minute sets of tunes before piping in the haggis. I will then read a selection of Burns poetry including the Ode To The Haggis.
